as children, books were one of our first introductions to creativity.

words, images, all kinds of subject matter and designs would immediately jump-start our imagination.

opie and i both loved coloring books, though neither of us stayed within the lines (well actually - opie did!)

today our books are one-of-a-kind art objects and include a wide range of substrates in a variety of forms and endless styles including mixed metal books, tin can books, metal mesh books, gourd books, wearable books, altered books, board books, plaster books, accordion style fold-out books, books as dolls, invitation books, and even books that are contained inside a box...

and yet, we've hardly scratched the surface of this limitless medium and are continually looking forward to our next discovery.
