Opie and I are continually developing and teaching new classes that focus on creative ways to use organic, recycled and found materials. our workshops are very hands-on, completely stress free yet fun and informative. we combine process and project for the fullest experience.
we offer full day, two-day and week long workshops.
we teach both Nationally and Internationally.

we keep the tool list down to a minimum and for your convenience offer many of the harder to find supplies for purchase on our etsy shop.

basic tools usually (but not necessarily) include:
* detail cutting tin shears
* a 2-hole metal punch
* depending on the class - either a mini eyelet setter for tiny eyelets
-(it has a lip)- or a rivet hammer.
* a bench block and or setting block
* jewelry pliers, hammers and files
* a black ultra-fine sharpie
* a metal ruler
* a thin awl or needle tool
* a bone folder or old credit card

we usually bring plenty of things for students to share but no matter what the class is - it's always a good idea to bring along some of your favorite embellishments like: charms, beads, keys, coins, images, game pieces, text, watch parts, wire, etc, to make your project uniquely yours.

we would love to come and teach a workshop for your group and although rates may vary with the venue, our fees usually average $100.00 per student, per day, and usually includes any kit or material fees. we require a minimum of 12 students, plus expenses (see below)

a full day workshop is 6 hours, with an hour break for lunch. if we are teaching out of state, at least 2 workshop days must be booked.

we team teach, which provides each student with individual time. our workshops are high energy, very creative, stress free and always fun.

depending on the venue, we can teach up to 24 students as long as there is enough room for all students to work comfortably.

travel expenses include:
lodging, breakfast,lunch and dinner during teaching days, dinner the night before and breakfast the morning after.
we will drive whenever possible. gas mileage is $.40 cents a mile roundtrip.
air travel requires 2 roundtrip tickets and a rental car if necessary. we will book our flight as early as possible to insure the lowest fare.

*opie and i are easy-going, flexible and extremely down-to-earth people. our workshops are based on many of the techniques in our book: Metal Craft Discovery Workshop. our work has been published in over 25 books, several magazines and featured on fox 8 TV.
