7 day retreat - 6 night stay at the beautiful Hacienda Mosaico in Puerto Vallarta
Well actually it's my birthday and what better way to celebrate than to have a creative art-filled week focusing on the techniques you most want to learn, be it related to dolls, jewelry, assemblage or altered books. All of these mediums share common ground, so together we will explore the fine art of attachment, patinization and aging, surface decoration, embellishment, and working with those special objects you've been saving to create narratives that are personal and meaningful to you. Opie will kick-off this workshop by acquainting you with your tools and how to safely use them, especially the dremel, it's many attachments and how to get the most out of it.
Workshop starts after breakfast and goes until lunch at 2PM, leaving plenty of time for shopping, excursions into old vallarta, the paper store, the gallery walk and dinner - we usually go as a group to some of our favorite restaurants although everyone is free to explore on their own, and as always there is open studio every evening.
