once upon a time, Opie and I believed that only "little old ladies" used rubber stamps to make the occasional holiday card. then in March of 2000 he bought me a magazine called Somerset Studio, it was the Treasures of the Pharaohs issue and it had a profound effect on the direction that our work has taken. suddenly a world of new possibilities appeared before us. Ginny Carter, former owner of Stampers Anonymous and the Creative Block, remembers our very first visit to her fabulous store - she says we were like two hyper kids in a candy store. since then we've met many like-minded people who introduced us to the world of Artstamps but Teesha and Tracy Moore from Teesha's Circus and Zettiology and the hosts of the amazing art retreat Artfest, immediately come to mind. when we met, we clicked instantly - as they were the first husband and wife artist team we ever met. their passion, energy, and artistic expression inspired us to design our own line of Artstamps which made their debut at Artfest 2002 in Seattle. our stamps are unmounted themed sheets of deeply etched rubber (with the exception of the circus oddities sheet which is not as deeply etched) and designed for the mixed-media artist, which means they can be used with almost any medium from paper to fabric to clay and beyond. we use our rubber a lot when we etch metal, especially the quarter sheets. they are very user friendly, just drop them in water and clean them (we use an old toothbrush). our images are based on our original artwork, altered clipart, and other subjects that are of special interest to us.

we are an angel company with a liberal copyright policy. you may hand stamp any image to compliment your project, even if you sell your work. we only ask that you do not reproduce our sheets electronically and that we be given stamp credit when possible and maybe even send us a sample or scan of how you used our stamps.
